VETTE CORP. ANNOUNCES THERMAL SOLUTIONS FOR POPULAR CHIPSETS
REGIONAL SUPPORT, ASIAN MANUFACTURING MAXIMIZE OEM SUPPLY CHAINS
Manchester, NH – January 27, 2005, – Vette Corp., a global provider of thermal management
solutions, announces the availability of its thermal solutions for today’s most popular microprocessor
chipsets. Ideal for demanding applications requiring maximum airflow with minimal headroom,
Vette recommends its high-efficiency integrated fan heatsinks with for applications using the Intel®
Pentium® 4 LGA775 and 478, as well as the AMD® Athlon® 64, XP and Opteron® CPU’s. Vette’s
standard offerings meet the needs of typical applications running over 3GHz and power levels of 80
to 90 watts. To enhance product applications and support custom designs approaching 4GHz and 100
watts, Vette supports its thermal solutions with design services, including thermal analysis,
mechanical analysis, thermal testing, and fan life testing. Then Vette manufactures 100 percent of the
solution – heatsink, fan, and cooler assembly – having designed each piece of the solution for a total,
optimally designed solution for the highest performance at the lowest price.
As the electronics industry continues in a disruptive transition to manufacturing in China – industry
analysts at IDC forecast that offshore outsourcing will quadruple by 2007. Vette makes it easy for
OEMs to source high quality thermal solutions from Asian suppliers complete with applications
support for their supply chain and product design operations. With Asian-based manufacturing
and applications support teams across North America, Europe and Asia, Vette is unique in its
ability to support OEMs with thermal solutions that are optimized to their performance,
manufacturing and global supply chain requirements.
Local Support, Global Economies of Scale
According to Vette Corp. President and CEO George Dannecker, “Unlike the larger global
thermal solutions suppliers that have been rendered uncompetitive by their North American
manufacturing operations, Vette is able to deliver regional applications support and global
supply from our Asian manufacturing base.
“Our regional support teams enable our customers’ early phase design efforts with access to
leading design-engineering personnel, test facilities and complete prototyping capabilities to
ensure rapid design cycles of the lowest-cost, highest-efficiency thermal solutions.
“As a next step, or as an entry point for our customers that have already finished their
product design, our support teams work to value engineer the thermal solution for overall
cost reduction. This requires optimizing their customers’ cooling solution for thermal,
mechanical, acoustic, and cost constraints; as well as the concurrent production of tooling
that maximizes manufacturing efficiency. Then our high-volume, high-quality
manufacturing ramps up, feeding our customers’ global supply chains and meeting their
critical delivery deadlines.” Dannecker concluded.
